Therapy Services in Washington State

I provide online couples therapy, premarital counseling, discernment counseling, and individual relationship therapy for adults throughout Washington State. All sessions are conducted via secure telehealth. Individual therapy is accepted by Premera Blue Cross, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Lifewise starting August 1, 2026. Sessions available weekday mornings and evenings, plus Saturday mornings. Exact availability is shown when you book your free consultation.

Fees and Payment

All individual and couples therapy sessions are 50 minutes at a rate of $150 per session. Discernment counseling sessions are 90 minutes at a rate of $200 per session.

I am in-network with Premera Blue Cross, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Lifewise for individual therapy only. If you have one of these plans, I can verify your benefits before your first session so you know what to expect.

Couples therapy, Marriage by Design (premarital counseling), and discernment counseling are private pay. These services aren't structured around diagnosing and treating a mental health condition, so they fall outside what insurance is set up to cover. You can read more about why on my FAQ page.

Payment is accepted by credit card, including HSA and FSA cards. For private-pay individual clients, a superbill can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Not Sure Where to Start?

I offer a free 15-minute consultation for new clients. This is a chance to talk about what you are looking for, ask questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a supportive space for partners who want to improve communication, reduce conflict, and rebuild connection. Many couples come to therapy because they love each other but feel stuck in the same arguments or have started to feel more like roommates than partners. Therapy helps slow things down so both partners feel heard, understood, and better equipped to work through challenges together. I use the Gottman Method and Narrative Therapy to help couples repair disconnection and build a stronger, more secure foundation.

MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU ARE:

  • Experiencing ongoing conflict or communication breakdowns

  • Feeling distant or disconnected from your partner

  • Preparing for marriage or a long-term commitment

  • Working to rebuild trust or repair connection

  • Uncertain about the future of your relationship

Premarital Counseling

Marriage by Design is a structured premarital counseling program for engaged couples who want to enter marriage with clarity, confidence, and a strong foundation. We explore communication, conflict styles, family of origin, finances, intimacy, and long-term vision before patterns become entrenched. The strongest couples are often the ones who prepare intentionally.

Discernment Counseling

Discernment counseling is for couples standing at a crossroads, unsure whether to stay together, separate, or give the relationship one more dedicated effort. This is not couples therapy and it is not about pushing any particular outcome. It is a structured, short-term process designed to help each partner slow down, gain clarity, and make a thoughtful decision about the future of the relationship.

Discernment counseling typically takes one to six sessions. At the end of the process, couples arrive at one of three paths: remaining in the relationship as it is, separating or divorcing, or committing to six months of focused couples therapy to work on the relationship together. Whatever the decision, the goal is that both partners feel clear, grounded, and at peace with the direction they choose.

Sessions are 90 minutes at a rate of $200 per session.
