My name is Meghann Carvin, and I provide individual, couples, focused therapy for adults navigating relationships, life transitions, and significant personal decisions.
My work is centered on helping clients develop emotional stability, relational maturity, and clarity so they can engage in relationships with intention, confidence, and care.
I approach therapy as a collaborative and respectful process. This is a space for reflection, learning, and growth without judgment.
I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and provide therapy services in Washington State under clinical supervision.
My training includes extensive clinical education in relationship dynamics, communication, and systems oriented therapy. I integrate the Gottman Method and Narrative Therapy, combining research informed tools with thoughtful exploration of personal and relational stories.
This approach supports clients in developing insight, strengthening relational skills, and creating meaningful change.
I work with adults who are preparing for or navigating important life and relationship transitions, including dating, marriage preparation, relationship repair, and discernment around long term commitment.
With couples, I support early relationships, premarital counseling, relationship repair, and discernment counseling. The focus is on strengthening communication, increasing understanding, and helping partners make informed and intentional decisions about their relationship.
With individuals, therapy often centers on emotional regulation, identity development, decision making, and preparing for healthy relationships.
In addition to my clinical training, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Child Development. I completed coursework toward an elementary education credential and have spent time in classroom settings.
This background informs my work with parents. I support adults in developing thoughtful parenting philosophies rooted in emotional maturity, regulation, and connection. My approach emphasizes guidance, teaching, and understanding rather than punishment, and I work with parents who are interested in gentle and developmentally informed parenting practices.
I work with parents individually and do not provide therapy to children or family therapy.
Therapy is a no judgment zone. Clients are met with respect, curiosity, and care.
I provide an affirming and professional therapeutic space grounded in evidence based practice for culturally diverse and LGBTQ+ clients. Differences in identity, background, belief systems, and lived experience are welcomed and respected within the therapeutic process.
At the heart of my work is the belief that growth is possible when we are willing to learn, reflect, and care for ourselves with intention.
A growth mindset, self respect, and emotional awareness form the foundation for healthy relationships. Loving yourself is not separate from loving others. It is where meaningful and sustainable connection begins.
Outside of my clinical work, I am an avid reader and lifelong learner. I love to travel, explore new ideas, and identify as a dedicated book collector. I also enjoy gaming and creative problem solving, which mirrors how I approach therapy with curiosity, strategy, and patience.
